Some of the Mac patches might not work because of lack of permission to execute that installer. Unfortunately I don't remember which file(s) had this problem but this fix {offered by Noella} will resolve it:
1. Right click the patch file and select "Show package contents"
2a. If you see the real patch file now, run that. Otherwise..
2b. Go to /contents/MacOS/ and you should see a file called "installer"
3. Open Terminal (/applications/utilities)
4. In terminal, type "chmod 777 " but do not enter (you must be on an administrator's account, also note space after the 777)
5. Drag the "installer" file to terminal. The path of the file should be entered into terminal.
6. Press enter in terminal
7. Open the original patch file

Q: I installed a higher client version that the server doesn't support. How can I de-patch/downgrade?
A: In your WoW directory delete the patch.mpq located in Data folder (C:/Program Files/WoW/Data/patch.mpq). In your WoW directory run the repair.exe tool (C:/Program Files/WoW/repair.exe). Now your client should be 3.0.0 (if your game client version was between 3.0.0-3.x.x).

Q: Why can't I connect?
A: There are 2 main reasons you can't connect: Either the server is offline or your realmlist is incorrect. If your realmlist is indeed correct, then try checking the status page or IRC for information on the server's status.
Q: How do I connect?
A:To connect to Gaming Consortium all you need is a World of Warcraft client that matches our version. Once all the clients are installed, edit the file realmlist.wtf which can be found in your World of Warcraft installation directory (for windows C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/Data/enGB/)
You need to edit this line: "set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" and change it to: "set realmlist realm.gamingconsortium.org". Now you are ready to start the game and enjoy the gameplay.
Q: I can't move/cast spell/my char is naked. How can I fix that?
A: You can find many solutions on this page, some of them would surely work.
3) Account Questions
Q: What rates does the server use?
A: Rates and further server info can be found here.
Q: How do I make an account?
A: Register here.
Q: I can't log in game. It says my account is "no longer available for use". What now?
A: This happens when you enter the wrong password 3 times. You will be able to log in after 10 minutes. If not, check if you weren't banned through the Account status tool. If your problem persists, contact GMs.
Q: I can't log to forum or to bugtracker. What now?
A: Retrieve your password through "Forgotten password" tool. If you come from AoT, check if your account has been activated through Account Activation tool.
Q: How can I change my account password?
A: You can change your account password (for Bugtracker, forum and game) through the forum password changing interface. Just edit your password through User Control Panel.

4) Gameplay Questions
Q: I found a bug and/or have an issue with my character. How can I get it fixed?
A: If you find bugged/missing mob, npc, object, quest, broken spell or anything else please use our bugtracker to report it. For other type of reports contact a GM or ask on forum.
Your report should describe the problem and provide as much as possible information about it.
All reports are investigated so do not hesitate to report even suspicion (of hackers for example).
Q: How can I contact a GM?
A: To contact a GM:

A: You can still use the bug tracker but an easier solution is to use GM tickets (The red ? on the menu bar) or come into IRC

A: There are three main channels which allow only the English language to be spoken by:
Type "/join public" to join public chat.
Type "/join trader" to join any world wide trades chat or use Auction House instead.
Type "/join lookingforgroup" to join the LFG channel for help finding any missing member for your party.
There are many other channels for various languages. Ask around in your guild or, in English, ask on public.
Q: I think WoW has semi-lousy graphics. How can I improve it besides settings in game set to max?
